We don't rush a wall
The Stone Sculptor started in 2016 with one apprentice and a rule: a wall built too fast is a wall that fails. Nine years later, we're still a small, hands-on crew working across the Adelaide Hills.

Frequently asked questions
Are you actually licensed and insured?
Yes — every mason on our team holds a current builder's registration and we carry full public liability insurance on every job. Ask for our licence number any time, we'll happily hand it over.
How long does a stone wall or fireplace take to build?
A feature wall or fireplace typically takes one to two weeks depending on size and stone type. Larger retaining walls and full facades can run four to eight weeks — we'll give you a realistic timeframe at your site visit.
Do you actually give fixed-price quotes?
Always. We quote the job after seeing the site and choosing the stone, and that's the number on your invoice. If ground conditions genuinely change once we start, we stop and talk to you before continuing.
Can I choose the type of stone used?
Absolutely — stone selection is part of every quote. We'll bring samples to your site visit and talk through options and cost differences between locally quarried stone and imported alternatives.
Do you do heritage restoration work?
Yes — repointing and restoring heritage stonework is a regular part of what we do. We match mortar mix and joint style to the original wherever possible, not just patch over it.
What areas do you service?
We're based in Stirling and cover the Adelaide Hills as our core patch — Aldgate, Crafers, Bridgewater, Uraidla, Mount Barker and surrounds. Give us a call if you're just outside that area, we can often still help.
